A decade ago

A decade ago, or maybe three and a half
A couple of kids, hung out, just for some laughs
A wineskin, a party, a walk to a car
Who could have guessed, it’d ever go this far.
Bread runs, frozen breaks, singing on truck rides.
Time spent on the road, where there is no place to hide
Broken bones, road races, camping by the lake.
Bike rides, quad trips, Our lives been pretty great.
The outrigger to my canoe, the sand between my toes.
The path that is less wandered, does lead us where we go.
Thankful for the memories, although they are far from done
Never forget, what's important like the Race, which I Won!
