Five yrs came and went
The Ink marks the date
A rocky road we traveled
The keeper of the gate

The focus blurred the message
of lessons meant to teach
The examples that were set
Did not match the preach.

The skills are learned behaviors
Of actions more than words
For proof as in the doing
Not following the herd.
