Friendship
is like a plate of cookies,
Left out,
free to take!
It can cost
you nothing,
It’s your
choice to make.
You can
stand and gorge yourself,
Until they
are all gone
You can sit
there wondering,
Where it
all went wrong
Look back to all the cookies
That were
placed out on that Plate
It’s when
the dish is empty,
That you
decide your fate.
Do you choose to nurture,
And share
the love you bake.
Or do you
go search elsewhere
Perhaps looking
for cake.
Stand in
that buffet line
Get all
that they make
For some
it’s about the filling
For others
it’s all about the take
Some come
to conclusion
Based on
the decisions others make.
Just don’t
long for cookies
After you
choose the cake
